July Freedom Friday Event

Join us for another Freedom Friday, July 29th, 2016, 5:30 PM at Three’s Bar & Grill at Kihei Kalama Village in Kihei. Come and talk story, share pupus, drink adult beverages and generally have a good time with fellow conservatives. Talk about the Donald, or Crooked Hillary, or anything else that comes to mind! See y’all there!

About Three’s Bar & Grill:  Chefs, Surfers. Friends. Travis Morrin, Cody Christopher, and Jaron Blosser discovered they share a fanatic enthusiasm for surf while working together at a top local restaurant six years ago. While surfing together around Maui they dreamt up the idea to start their own catering business using their regarded culinary school training and experience so they could surf whenever they wanted. Three’s Catering was launched in 2009 using a rented warehouse and their old trucks. In a few short months, their unexpected success had them looking for permanent kitchen space, and they opened a restaurant in the current Three’s Bar & Grill location in Kihei’s Kalama Village where their menu has evolved incorporating the three chefs’ three cuisines – Hawaiian, Southwestern and Pacific Rim. Three’s is all about great food with locally sourced ingredients, creating memories, and the casual island lifestyle that these friends enjoy everyday.

Federal Court Rebukes IRS, DOJ, Orders Release of Targeted Tea Party List

By Debra Heine March 23, 2016

Lois Lerner, head of the IRS unit that decides whether to grant tax-exempt status to groups, listens on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the start of a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing to investigate the extra scrutiny the IRS gave to Tea Party and other conservative groups that applied for tax-exempt status. Lerner later invoked her constitutional right to not answer questions and was dismissed by House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

A federal appeals court delivered a a long overdue rebuke Tuesday to both the Internal Revenue Service and the Justice Department attorneys that have defended it in lawsuits from aggrieved tea party groups. A unanimous three-judge panel ordered the IRS to quickly turn over the full list of groups it targeted so that a class-action lawsuit, filed by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots, can proceed, and accused the DOJ lawyers who are representing the IRS in the case, of acting in bad faith in arguing against the disclosure.
